An injured, frustrated runner "After training for the Cincinnati marathon for 4 months, I developed a stress fracture in my foot three weeks before the race. I was absolutely crushed, but also determined to find a way to complete this race! A friend of mine suggested I go see Amy Gayle for Aquarunning instruction so that I could keep up my training without further damaging my foot. I aquaran religiously for the remaining 2 1/2 weeks before the race, and did not run on land until the day of the marathon. I am happy to say that I finished the marathon and ran the entire race. It was an awesome experience, and I have Amy's classes and aquarunning to thank for helping me reach the goal! I would recommend her sessions to any runner, injured or otherwise, as a great supplement for running on land. Thanks so much Amy!" - Julie
A general fitness enthusiast "I was looking for an exercise program that would not put stress on my joints and aqurunning fit the bill. Since I started aquajogging, I have more energy and endurance. I am shedding pounds, toning up, and having fun. This is a great way to exercise!" -Pat
A marathoner "I started aquajogging after recovering from a bad knee injury. I realized that if I wanted to make it injury-free through marathon training, I had to cut back onmy number of miles run per week. By adding aquajogging to my weekly exercise routine, I was able to improve form and endurance, without the impact on my knees! I hop to keep aquajogging as part of my marathon training and stay injury-free!" -Chris
A high school athlete I went to see Ted Spears at Sports Performance International, where I found out that I had weak hip muscles that would need to be strengthened off-season. He told me about water running, and referred me to Amy Gayle. I only had a couple of weeks until the district track meet, it was my senior year, and I felt like this was my last chance to salvage my season. We started aquarunning, and I immediately felt better. I would do hard interval workouts and longer runs in the pool, and track workouts with my team. On the days that I ran in the pool, I felt great, my legs became strong, my hip didn't hurt, and I could concentrate on improving my form. I would do a track workout with the team the next day, and feel fresh and fast!!! I qualified through the district meet, and I have regionals this weekend...I am very excited about going. I know that I have come a lot farther than I ever would have imagined because of the help from Amy Gayle and aquarunning!" -Caitlin
Former weekend warrior "I'm happy to say that I'm aquarunning in our swimming pool every day, before I do anything else in the morning. Thanks for all your help!" -Phil
